Mitch Garver drove in four runs and Jake Cave hit a tiebreaking two-run homer as the Minnesota Twins recovered from a six-run deficit to record a 10-7 victory over the host Texas Rangers on Friday night at Globe Life Park.

Jorge Polanco contributed a two-run double as the Twins had 12 hits while winning for just the second time in seven games. Tyler Austin also homered and Max Kepler and Joe Mauer each had two hits.

Nomar Mazara hit a three-run homer for the Rangers, who have dropped five straight games. Jurickson Profar had two hits and two RBIs, and Elvis Andrus had two hits and scored three times.

Right-hander Matt Magill (3-2) gave up one hit in 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief for Minnesota.

The Twins trailed 6-0 before exploding for eight runs in the fifth inning.

Austin led off the inning with an opposite-field blast to right field, his 15th home run of the season. Ehire Adrianza and Mauer followed with singles before Polanco smacked a two-run double to right-center to bring the Twins within 6-3.

The bases were loaded with one out later in the inning when Garver cleared them with a double to center off left-handed reliever Matt Moore (3-7) to tie the score.

Cave followed by concluding an eight-pitch at-bat against Moore with a two-run blast to right-center field to give Minnesota an 8-6 edge.

Garver added a run-scoring double during the Twins' two-run seventh inning as the lead reached four.

Minnesota left-hander Stephen Gonsalves allowed six runs -- three earned -- and six hits over 3 2/3 innings in his third major league start. He walked four and didn't strike out anyone.

Rangers right-hander Drew Hutchison gave up four runs and six hits over four-plus innings. He struck out two and walked one.

Profar drilled a two-run double into the left-field corner in the third inning to give Texas the early lead.

Rougned Odor drove in a run with a two-out infield single in the fourth inning to make it 3-0. Minnesota shortstop Polanco booted Andrus' grounder to keep the inning alive, and Mazara followed by slugging a three-run blast over the right-center field fence to make it a six-run margin.

It was Mazara's 17th home run of the season.
