Ryan Theriot and Kosuke Fukudome drove in two runs apiece in the eighth inning to lead the Chicago Cubs to a 7-6 win over the Milwaukee Brewers on Wednesday.

The Brewers held a 6-3 edge with two outs in the eight before right-hander LaTroy Hawkins began to unravel, allowing a single to Jeff Baker and yielding back-to-back walks to Geovany Soto and Tyler Colvin. Theriot made Hawkins pay with a single to right and stole second before Fukudome followed with a two-run single of his own.

Carlos Marmol struck out Corey Hart, Ryan Braun and Prince Fielder in order in the ninth to earn his third save of the young season.

Rickie Weeks doubled and drove in a pair and Alcides Escobar had three hits for the Brewers, who dropped their second in a run to Chicago.

Carlos Gomez and Escobar had back-to-back RBI triples in the eighth to put Milwaukee up 6-3.
