Aubrey Huff's two-run single sparked a rally and lifted the San Francisco Giants to a 9-6 win over the Florida Marlins on Tuesday in 12 innings.

Aaron Rowand, who returned to the lineup on Sunday after missing over two weeks with broken bones in his face due to being hit by a pitch, forced extra frames with a solo home run in the ninth off Marlins closer Leo Nunez.

After two uneventful innings in the 10th and 11th, Alex Torres lined a one-out single in the 12th and Pablo Sandoval followed with a double before Bengie Molina was intentionally walked. Huff followed with a single to center off Burke Badenhop (0-3) to give San Francisco the lead.

Dan Runzler (1-0) earned the win with an inning of relief and Guillermo Mota recorded his first save of the campaign.

Tim Lincecum was cruising right along with a 3-0 lead until the bottom of the sixth when he gave up a three-run homer to Hanley Ramirez.

Ramirez has exploded in the last three games, driving out four home runs while going 9-for-15 with 10 RBIs.

But the Giants picked their ace back up in the eighth, loading the bases on two hits and an intentional walk with two outs before Juan Uribe drove Chris Leroux's first pitch to left for a two-run double.

But San Francisco decided to remove Lincecum after 110 pitches and hand the ball to Sergio Romo in the eighth and Dan Uggla sent his sixth homer of the season over the left-field wall to put the Marlins on top, 6-5.
