Alexei Ramirez drove in a pair of runs, including a walk-off RBI single with two out in the ninth inning, as the Chicago White Sox pulled out a 4-3 home win over Minnesota on Saturday afternoon.

A.J. Pierzynski, who entered the game when Chicago lost catcher Ramon Castro to a hand injury in the eighth inning, led off the bottom of the ninth with a double against Jose Mijares (0-1). After Juan Pierre drew a two-out walk, Ramirez dropped a 1-1 pitch into shallow center field, allowing Pierzynski to come around from second for the winning run. The victory was the first for the White Sox in their last 10 games against the Twins dating back to last season.

Minnesota took a 3-2 lead in the top of the eighth on Alexi Casilla's sacrifice fly to center field, but Chicago drew even in the bottom of the frame on an RBI single by Carlos Quentin. Ramirez had put the White Sox on top early with a one-out solo homer in the first inning before the Twins responded with a pair of runs in the third. Casilla's RBI single put Minnesota in front.

Jesse Crain (5-2) got the victory in relief of Mark Buehrle, who scattered four hits over eight innings of work while striking out eight. Twins starter Brian Duensing was just as sharp in his seven innings, giving up two runs on five hits.
