Prince Fielder homered and drove in a pair of runs to lead Milwaukee to an 8-2 home win over Pittsburgh on Saturday afternoon.
The Brewers took a 2-0 lead in the fourth inning on home runs by Fielder and Brandon Boggs.
A fifth-inning sacrifice fly by Jose Tabata cut the margin in half, but Milwaukee broke the game open with five runs in the seventh inning against Daniel McCutchen (1-1) and Joe Beimel. Casey McGehee's two-run double highlighted the assault, while Fielder and Jonathan Lucroy each singled home a run.
Chris Narveson (2-3) worked six innings for the win, allowing a run and four hits and four walks. Jeff Karstens went five innings, allowing two runs and five hits.
Lyle Overbay added a solo home run in the eighth inning for Pittsburgh, and Ryan Braun countered with a solo homer in the eighth for Milwaukee.
Pirates manager Clint Hurdle was ejected in the seventh inning for arguing a call at first base.
