Yankees 10, Red Sox 8: Mark Teixeira had two hits and four RBIs, including a go-ahead two-run triple in the seventh inning, as visiting New York rallied to beat Boston after blowing a five-run lead.

Eric Chavez added two hits and two RBIs and Raul Ibanez had a run-scoring double in the four-run seventh as the Yankees sent the Red Sox to their fourth consecutive defeat.

Boone Logan (4-0) earned the win despite retiring only two of the four batters he faced in a back-and-forth contest that featured matching five-run first innings. Rafael Soriano got the final four outs for his 20th save.

Andrew Miller (2-1) was charged with two runs on one hit in one-third of an inning as the Red Sox fell to 0-3 against New York this season.

Jarrod Saltalamacchia clubbed a three-run homer and Adrian Gonzalez and David Ortiz each had three hits and an RBI for Boston, which battled back from a five-run deficit to take a 6-5 lead into the decisive seventh inning.

New York's first five batters reached base against Red Sox starter Josh Beckett in a five-run first inning. Teixeira had a two-run single and Nick Swisher and Chavez added sacrifice flies.

Boston answered with five runs of its own against Hiroki Kuroda, getting an RBI double from Gonzalez before Saltalamacchia tied it with his career-high 17th homer. It marked the first time in the history of the storied rivalry that each team scored at least five runs in the opening inning.

Beckett allowed six runs on eight hits in five innings while Kuroda was tagged for seven runs (six earned) on 10 hits in 5 2/3 innings.
