Wilson tossed eight solid innings as the Angels ended the Blue Jays’ four-game winning streak.

Wilson (4-2) gave up two runs on six hits with nine strikeouts for the Angels, who rested struggling first baseman Albert Pujols.

After being shut out in consecutive games, the Angels snapped their 23-inning scoreless streak on Bobby Wilson’s run-scoring single in the second inning.

Los Angeles added to its early 2-1 lead with three runs in the sixth inning. Trumbo led off the inning with his fourth home run off Kyle Drabek (2-3), who gave up five runs on eight hits and five walks over five innings.

The Blue Jays cut into the lead on Adam Lind’s leadoff homer in the top of the seventh, giving them nine consecutive games with a home run.

Pujols, batting .194 with five RBIs, was given a rare day off by manager Mike Scioscia. Pujols is 5-for-54 with one RBI over his last 14 games, and his drought of 137 at-bats without a home run is the longest of his career.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Catcher Chris Iannetta (sore right hand) was out of the Angels’ starting lineup for the third straight game on Saturday … Drabek allowed two runs or fewer in each of his five previous starts … Ernesto Frieri made his Angels debut in the ninth inning, striking out the side … Toronto struck out 12 times and went 1-for-7 with runners in scoring position.
