Mets 5, Giants 4: Ruben Tejada drove in three runs and scored the game winner on an error in the bottom of the ninth as host New York edged San Francisco to snap a three-game losing streak.

After Lucas Duda led off with a single against Clay Hensley (1-1), Tejada walked and Justin Turner reached on a one-out infield hit to load the bases. Kirk Nieuwenhuis then grounded into a fielder’s choice, but Giants catcher Buster Posey committed an error after recording the second out, allowing Tejada to score the decisive run.

Jon Rauch (2-0) got the win despite allowing a game-tying two-run double to Brandon Belt with two out in the top of the ninth inning. Emmanuel Burriss started the Giants’ three-run ninth with an RBI single against Frank Francisco.

Tejada snapped a 1-1 tie in the seventh inning when he doubled to left field against San Francisco starter Ryan Vogelsong, scoring Jason Bay and Duda. Ike Davis gave the Mets a 4-1 lead with an RBI infield single in the eighth inning.

The Giants took a 1-0 lead in the top of the third when Pablo Sandoval blooped a two-out single into center field, scoring Angel Pagan. An RBI fielder’s choice by Tejada evened the score in the fifth inning.

New York starter Mike Pelfrey held San Francisco to one run on six hits in his eight innings of work. Vogelsong struck out eight and walked two over seven solid innings, allowing three runs on just five hits.
