White Sox 8, Angels 6 (10):
Alex Rios hit his second home run of the night in the bottom of the 10th inning, lifting host Chicago to a comeback victory over Los Angeles.

Adam Dunn led off with a base hit against Hisanori Takahashi (0-3), and pinch runner Jordan Danks stole second with one out. Rios then drove a pitch from David Carpenter just beyond the reach of Mike Trout and over the center-field fence.

Matt Thornton (4-6) got the win after escaping trouble in the top of the 10th, retiring Albert Pujols on an inning-ending groundout with runners on the corners.

Mark Trumbo gave the Angels a 1-0 lead with an RBI base hit in the top of the first inning, but the White Sox answered with four runs in the bottom half. Rios, who was 3-for-5 with three runs scored and four RBIs, singled in a run before coming in to score on a three-run homer by A.J. Pierzynski.

Trout hit a two-run homer in the second, and Los Angeles grabbed a 5-4 advantage an inning later on RBI singles by Howie Kendrick and Maicer Izturis.

Pujols hit a solo homer in the top of the sixth for the Angels, but Rios answered with a solo shot in the home half of the inning. An RBI ground-rule double by Alejandro De Aza in the seventh tied the game at 6-6.

Zack Greinke went seven innings for the Angels, allowing six runs on 10 hits and a pair of walks. Chicago starter Philip Humber gave up six runs in 5 2/3 frames, surrendering 10 hits and walking four.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
The game continued without delay despite a reported bomb threat at U.S. Cellular Field. ... Humber remained winless in eight home starts this season. ... Five of the Angels’ runs came in innings that started with two out and nobody on base. ... Pierzynski’s home run was his 19th of the year, a career high.
