Pirates 9, Indians 2: Casey McGehee homered and had four RBIs and A.J. Burnett won his sixth consecutive start as visiting Pittsburgh snapped a four-game losing streak.

Pedro Alvarez homered twice and drove in three runs and Alex Presley added a solo blast for the Pirates, who avoided matching their longest skid of the season.

Burnett (7-2) allowed two runs on six hits in 6 2/3 innings to become the first Pittsburgh pitcher to win six starts in a row since Doug Drabek in 1990.

Asdrubal Cabrera and Casey Kotchman hit solo homers for Cleveland, which tumbled to its fourth defeat in the last five games.

Pittsburgh blew it open with four runs in the ninth, courtesy of McGehee's two-run single and a two-run shot by Alvarez, who was mired in a 4-for-41 slump in his previous 12 games.

Indians starter Ubaldo Jimenez (6-5) lasted six innings, giving up four runs on seven hits and striking out six.

Cleveland's Michael Brantley went 0-for-3 and had his 22-game hitting streak snapped. It was the longest in the majors this year.
