Giants 7, Cardinals 5: Brandon Crawford had two hits and two RBIs and San Francisco took advantage of three errors to tally three unearned runs in a victory over visiting St. Louis.

Crawford doubled and scored in the first inning, then singled in a pair of runs in the second. Crawford had not registered an RBI since April 23.

San Francisco starter Matt Cain (3-2) settled down after a rough first three frames to retire the last eight batters he faced. Cain allowed eight hits and four runs over six innings, striking out six and walking one.

Matt Holliday, who had a sacrifice fly in the first, belted a two-run homer in the third to give the Cardinals a 4-3 lead.

The Giants tied it 4-4 on an Emmanuel Burriss sacrifice fly in the sixth and took the lead for good on third baseman David Freese’s throwing error with two outs. Brandon Belt’s RBI double in the seventh gave San Francisco a 6-4 edge and Charlie Culberson added a run-scoring groundout for his first major-league RBI.

St. Louis starter Adam Wainwright (2-5) gave up five runs – two earned – in 5 2/3 innings.

Giants reliever Sergio Romo allowed his first run of the season in the eighth on Yadier Molina’s solo homer. Santiago Casilla pitched a 1-2-3 ninth for his ninth save.
