Adrian Gonzalez and Yasiel Puig added two hits apiece for Los Angeles, which improved to 12-2 since the All-Star break and maintained its 3 1/2-game lead over Arizona atop National League West. The 12 straight wins away from home match the record set by the 1924 Brooklyn Robins.

Ryu (10-3) surrendered 11 hits over 5 1/3 innings but limited the damage to two runs to win his fourth straight decision. The 26-year-old South Korean has not lost in seven starts since June 19.

Junior Lake went 4-for-5 and Cole Gillespie was 3-for-4 as the Cubs racked up 14 hits, but were 3-for-14 with runners in scoring position and left 10 men on base.

Cubs starter Travis Wood (7-8) had his shortest outing of the year, allowing five runs on seven hits over 3 1/3 innings. He issued a season-high five walks, including four straight in the third inning.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Dodgers 2B Mark Ellis extended his hitting streak to 13 games - the longest active streak in the National League. … Ellis and Los Angeles manager Don Mattingly were ejected in the fourth inning for arguing balls and strikes with home plate umpire Alan Porter. … Lake has recorded four hits twice in his first 16 major-league games and is the first Cubs player with two four-hit games this season.
