Twins 10, Angels 3 (10): Ryan Doumit snapped a tie with his second RBI double of the night and Chris Herrmann hit his first career grand slam as visiting Minnesota scored seven runs in the 10th inning to remain perfect against Los Angeles this season.
Pedro Florimon homered and drove in three runs while Brian Dozier added an RBI single for the Twins, who posted their sixth win in seven overall games and improved to 4-0 versus the Angels this year.
Doumit, who gave Minnesota a 3-2 lead with an RBI double in the eighth before All-Star closer Glen Perkins (2-0) blew his third save opportunity of the season in the ninth, broke the deadlock with another run-scoring two-base hit off Ernesto Frieri (0-2). Three batters later, Herrmann launched a 2-1 offering over the wall in right-center to make it 8-3.
Florimon, who knotted the game at 2-2 with an RBI groundout in the seventh, sealed the victory with a two-run blast off Billy Buckner later in the 10th.
Albert Pujols went 3-for-5 with a solo homer and Mark Trumbo also went deep for the Angels, who have dropped three in a row at home. Mike Trout had a pair of singles as he extended his career-best hitting streak to 15 games.
GAME NOTEBOOK: Angels OF Josh Hamilton missed his second straight game with inflammation in his right ankle. ... Herrmann finished 3-for-5, marking the second time in his career he recorded three hits. He also accomplished the feat on June 9 at Washington. ... Los Angeles SS Erick Aybar drew a bases-loaded walk from Perkins in the ninth to force in the tying run. Aybar is 6-for-12 with two walks and 15 RBIs in such situations this season.
