Arizona answered Tulowitzki's two-out, two-run double in the third with Montero's sacrifice fly and Aaron Hill's RBI single in the bottom half after Prado walked with one out and Goldschmidt doubled.

Pacheco delivered a one-out RBI double in the fourth and Goldschmidt replied with a run-scoring groundout in Arizona's half. Tulowitzki put the Rockies on top for good when he led off the sixth by depositing a 2-2 pitch just over the wall in left and Morneau reached the pool area in right-center three batters later to make it 7-4.
