White Sox 6, Twins 3 (10):
Dayan Viciedo belted a tiebreaking homer to lead off the 10th inning and Tyler Flowers clubbed a pair of two-run shots, lifting visiting Chicago in the opener of a two-game series.

Viciedo hammered an opposite-field shot 381 feet to right-center off Lester Oliveros (0-1), who was tagged for three runs in one-third of an inning in his first major-league appearance since June 14, 2012. Flowers followed with his second homer while Carlos Sanchez had an RBI double among his three hits to give the White Sox only their fourth win in 14 games.

Kennys Vargas smacked a two-run homer and Danny Santana added two hits and an RBI double for Minnesota, which tumbled to its eighth defeat in 10 games. Jordan Schafer chipped in three hits but ran his team out of two innings on the bases.

Vargas launched a two-run shot into the second deck in right to stake the Twins to a 2-0 first-inning lead but Chicago answered with three in its next at-bat. Flowers lined a two-run homer into the bullpen in left-center before Vargas delivered an RBI double up the alley in left-center, but Minnesota tied it in the bottom of the inning on Santana's run-scoring double to left.

Daniel Webb (6-4) worked two-thirds of an inning for the victory and Jake Petricka got the final three outs for his 11th save. Chicago right-hander Hector Noesi went seven innings for the third straight start, giving up three runs on nine hits, while Twins lefty Tommy Milone lasted only 3 2/3 innings and allowed three runs on five hits and four walks.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Sanchez had his second straight multi-hit game and has hit safely in five straight and 10 of 11 games since being recalled from Triple-A Charlotte. ... Schafer has a rough night on the basepaths, getting thrown out at third on Santana's RBI double when he overran the bag before he was erased in a rundown after reaching on an infield single in the seventh. ... White Sox CF Adam Eaton was ejected for the first time in his career after he was called out on strikes in the sixth inning and replaced by OF Jordan Danks.
