Adam Duvall had two solo home runs among four hits, Josh Donaldson crushed a three-run homer and Julio Teheran allowed just two runs as the Atlanta Braves blasted the host Washington Nationals 11-8 on Tuesday to even their three-game series.

Ozzie Albies and Ender Inciarte each had three hits as Atlanta won for just the fifth time in 13 games. The Nationals, meanwhile, are still 38-19 since May 24. Washington trailed 11-1 in the seventh.

Washington's Juan Soto hit a two-run homer in the ninth, and Brian Dozier added an RBI single to trim the margin to 11-8 before Luke Jackson retired the side.

The Washington starter was Erick Fedde (1-2), who was filling in for the injured Max Scherzer.

Fedde made his ninth major league start of the year and first ever against Atlanta. He allowed nine runs on nine hits with four walks and four strikeouts as his ERA rose from 3.40 to 4.67.

Teheran (6-7), in his 23rd career start against Washington, went 6 2/3 innings and allowed seven hits.

The Braves took a 1-0 lead in the second as Inciarte singled and eventually scored on a wild pitch.

In the third. Freddie Freeman and Brian McCann had RBI singles, and Inciarte drove in two with a double to make it 5-0.

Donaldson hit a three-run shot in the fourth, and two batters later, Duvall went deep to end the night for Fedde, who left with the Braves ahead 9-0.

Dozier drove in Washington's first run with a single in the sixth.

Javy Guerra came on to pitch in the fourth for the Nationals, who won the first game of the series Monday. He allowed a homer to Duvall in the seventh, and later in the inning, Teheran drove in a run to make it 11-1.

Trea Turner of the Nationals hit a solo homer in the seventh to make it 11-2, and Yan Gomes smashed a three-run shot in eighth off Anthony Swarzak to trim margin to 11-5.
