Marreese Speights came off the bench to score a season-high 23 points Wednesday and lead the Philadelphia 76ers to a 107-94 road victory over the Toronto Raptors, who have lost nine straight games.
Speights made 10-of-12 shots and also had nine rebounds as Philadelphia (20-25) won its third straight game. The 76ers snapped a five-game road skid.
Toronto’s losing streak is the franchise’s longest since a 10-game skid during the 2005-06 campaign.
Jrue Holiday had 15 points and 11 assists for Philadelphia. Andre Iguodala and Lou Williams also scored 15 points.
Speights had six of his nine rebounds on the offensive boards as the 76ers outrebounded the Raptors, 43-33. Elton Brand added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Sixers.
DeMar DeRozan scored 29 points for Toronto (13-33). Andrea Bargnani added 17 points, Amir Johnson 15 and Jose Calderon had 13 assists.
