Jerai Grant led the way with 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting and Demontez Stitt added 11 points and six rebounds as Clemson blasted Delaware State, 76-41, on Monday.

Milton Jennings scored 11 off the bench for the Tigers, who went over 71 points for the first time since Nov. 15.

Clemson (9-4) took control eight minutes into the game, turning a 12-11 lead into a 29-11 advantage over the next six minutes. The Tigers cruised through the rest of the period, taking a 40-19 lead into the break. Stitt drained three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points in the half.

It was the same story after the break, as Clemson scored the first seven points to push it to 47-19 and kept the pressure on, increasing the lead to 70-34 before emptying the bench.

The Tigers get two more chances to pad their record with home games against East Carolina and the Citadel over the next week, before beginning Atlantic Coast Conference play. Clemson’s first two ACC games are at home against Miami and Georgia Tech.

Jay Threatt had eight points and five assists for Delaware State (4-7).
