Jordan Hamilton scored 20 points and Texas cruised to a 66-46 win over rival Oklahoma in a Big 12 Conference clash in Austin on Saturday afternoon. The Longhorns (14-3, 2-0 Big 12) are now perfect in 13 straight conference home openers under coach Rick Barnes.

Texas never trailed in the game and led 27-19 at halftime. Hamilton hit a pair of 3-pointers early in the second half to push the lead to double digits and the Longhorns were never threatened the rest of the way.

Texas has now beaten Oklahoma (8-9, 0-3 Big 12) for the ninth time in the last 11 meetings as the Sooners have dropped their first three conference games for the first time since 2004, and have lost 11 straight in Big 12 play dating back to February, 2010.

Tristan Thompson scored 15, Gary Johnson chipped in 14 and Cory Joseph added 12 for the Longhorns. Hamilton, who tied his career high with five 3-pointers, paced the Longhorns to 70-percent shooting from behind the arc (7 of 10) while Oklahoma made just 1 of 17.

The Sooners were led by Andrew Fitzgerald’s 18 points.
