Harper Kamp had 19 points and seven rebounds as California outlasted Southern Cal 68-66 Saturday night at the Galen Center in Los Angeles.

Markhuri Sanders-Frison added 12 points and eight rebounds as Cal (10-9, 3-4 Pac-10) snapped a two-game losing streak.

A rotation of Cal players helped keep Southern Cal forward Nikola Vucevic in check. Vucevic scored five points on 2-of-8 shooting after coming into the game averaging 16.6 points. Saturday’s game was the fourth this season Vucevic failed to reach double digits in points.

Cal held the lead for most of the second half before Southern Cal battled back to go ahead with 7:47 left. Kamp took over late when he scored seven points in the final five minutes to put Cal ahead.

The Trojans had a shot to win, but Jio Fontan’s 3-pointer at the buzzer was short off the rim.

The win is a big one for Cal, which plays its next four games at home.

Donte Smith scored 24 points – all on 3-pointers – to lead Southern Cal (11-9, 3-4), which has lost three of its past four games.
