Andre Dawkins hit a season-high seven 3-pointers and No. 4 Duke cruised to a 91-73 home victory Thursday night over slumping Wake Forest.

Dawkins finished with a game-high 21 points, as three players reached 20 points for Duke (16-2, 4-0 ACC), which has won 64 consecutive games at Cameron Indoor Stadium against unranked opponents.

As if Duke needed any extra help against the ACC’s worst scoring defense, it came up with nine steals and burned Wake Forest (10-8, 1-3 ACC) with speed and precision in the open floor. The Blue Devils, leading the conference in outside shooting, hit 11-of-23 3-pointers and quickly extended a 13-point halftime advantage to 25 points midway through the second half.

The Blue Devils also crashed the boards from all angles, as Ryan Kelly ripped down 10 rebounds and scored 20 points on 8-of-11 shooting. Duke, though, is still waiting to see how its balanced attack stacks up against the top of the conference, as three of its four ACC wins have come against cellar dwellers.

Wake Forest’s C.J. Harris, the conference’s second-leading scorer, poured in a team-high 20 and shot better than 40 percent for the first time since a back injury sidelined him late last month. The Demon Deacons may have dropped their third straight, but they went 24 of 35 from the free throw line, and maintained some much-needed aggression after coming back from a 36-point rout last weekend at North Carolina State.
