Okaro White scored 13 points off the bench as 21st-ranked Florida State won a school-record seventh straight ACC game, 58-55, over No. 16 Virginia.
Xavier Gibson added 10 points and Michael Snaer chipped in with eight second-half points as Florida State (16-6, 7-1) defeated Virginia (18-4, 5-3) for the ninth straight time in Tallahassee, Fla.
After the Cavaliers scored 14 consecutive points to erase a 13-point second-half deficit, Snaer responded with his first field goal of the game - a 3-pointer, no less - to reclaim the advantage with 4:28 remaining. Luke Loucks then promptly drained a nine-footer on Florida State's next possession to extend the cushion to four.
Mike Scott connected on 6-of-8 shots from the field and matched Joe Harris with a game-high 16 points for Virginia, which saw its three-game winning streak come to an end.
With Florida State nursing a 23-22 lead at the halftime, the Seminoles upped the intensity on their defense and used their transition game to secure a 41-34 advantage with 7:34 remaining.
The Cavaliers scored the next 14 points in a 2:51 span to take the lead for the first time since they held an 8-6 advantage early in the first half.
