ALABAMA 67, MISSISSIPPI STATE 50: Levi Randolph scored a career-high 18 points and the host Crimson Tide extended their winning streak to three.

Playing with leading scorer JaMychal Green for the first time since Feb. 7, Alabama (19-9, 8-6 SEC) pulled away in the second half to move within a game of third-place Vanderbilt.

Down 25-22 in the closing seconds of the first half, Alabama’s Trevor Releford drew a three-shot foul from Mississippi State’s Dee Bost. Releford hit all three free throws to tie the game, and the Crimson Tide scored 15 of the first 20 points in the second half to take a 40-30 lead.

Releford added 10 points. Green, who was averaging 14.1 points before being suspended for violating team rules, scored nine points. Alabama shot 53.2 percent from the field and was 6 for 11 from 3-point range.

Bost and Renardo Sidney scored 14 points apiece for the Bulldogs (19-10, 6-8), who dropped into a tie for seventh in the SEC with Arkansas and Mississippi.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Mississippi State’s Arnett Moultrie, fourth in the SEC in scoring at 16.4, had only seven points on 1-for-3 shooting. … The Crimson Tide avenged a 56-52 loss Jan. 14. … Bost and Jalen Steele each made three 3-pointers for the Bulldogs. … Alabama finished 11 for 12 from the free throw line. … Green shot 4 for 7 from the field, including two big dunks.
