Mississippi 77, Tennessee 72: Terrance Henry scored 19 points as the Rebels kept their NCAA tournament hopes alive by prevailing in overtime in the SEC tournament quarterfinals.

Seventh-seed Mississippi (20-12), which has won five straight, will meet Vanderbilt in Saturday's semifinals.

The No. 2 seed Volunteers (18-14), who had won four in a row and eight of their past nine, are left to wait until Selection Sunday to learn their NCAA fate.

Down by seven points with 1:29 remaining in overtime, the Volunteers got two 3-pointers from Skylar McBee and pulled within 74-72 on two Jarnell Stokes’ free throws with 14.5 seconds left.

On the inbounds pass, the ball appeared to go off Henry’s face, but the officials ruled the ball was last touched by Tennessee. Henry was fouled with 11.6 seconds left and made two free throws to give Mississippi a 76-72 lead.

Henry hit two free throws with 9.1 seconds remaining in regulation to put Mississippi ahead 61-58. McBee tied the game on a long 3-pointer off the backboard with 2 seconds remaining to force overtime.

Baskets by Jarvis Summers and Henry gave the Rebels a 67-63 advantage with 2:49 to go in overtime and Mississippi pushed the advantage to 70-63 on Murphy Holloway’s tip-in with 1:29 remaining.

Summers finished with 17 points, while Reginald Buckner added 14 points for Mississippi.

Trae Golden led Tennessee with 21 points. Jeronne Maymon scored 11 points with 17 rebounds before fouling out with 2:25 left in overtime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Mississippi led 13-7 seven minutes into the game, the largest lead held by either team in regulation. … Mississippi, last in the conference in free-throw shooting (59.7 percent), finished 21 for 31 from the line (67.7 percent). … The Volunteers shot 28.1 percent from the field.
