Minnesota 68, Washington 67 (OT): Andre Hollins scored five of his 20 points in overtime and Minnesota survived the Huskies’ second-half rally to advance to the NIT championship game.

Rodney Williams had 18 points and 10 rebounds for the sixth-seeded Gophers (23-14), who will face third-seeded Stanford for the NIT title Thursday. The Cardinal beat Massachusetts 74-64 in the other semifinal.

Trailing by 12 with eight minutes left, top-seeded Washington (24-11) cut the lead to two with 19 seconds left.

Washington forced overtime on a C.J. Wilcox steal and score inside the lane, but the Huskies missed their first five shots in the extra period.

After Julian Welch missed two free throws with three seconds left in overtime, Abdul Gaddy’s desperation shot at the buzzer fell far short.

Terrence Ross led Washington with 21 points, and Darnell Gant added 12 points and 10 rebounds. Tony Wroten, the Pac-12 Freshman of the Year, finished with nine points on 4-of-16 shooting.
