No. 2 Duke 88, Delaware 50: Mason Plumlee collected 18 points and 11 rebounds and Ryan Kelly added 18 points as the Blue Devils coasted past the visiting Blue Hens.

Freshman Rasheed Sulaimon chipped in 14 points and six assists and Amile Jefferson scored 12 off the bench for Duke (8-0), which was playing without guard Seth Curry due to an ankle injury.

Devon Saddler was the only player to reach double figures with 23 points on 8-of-22 shooting for Delaware (2-6), which shot 27.7 percent from the floor, including 2 of 14 from 3-point range.

Kelly hit the first two shots of the game and the Blue Devils never trailed. Kelly totaled six points and Plumlee had eight during a 25-7 burst over the first 10:37 and Duke would stretch it out to 42-19 at the half.

Tyler Thornton and Quinn Cook hit back-to-back 3-pointers to spark a 12-0 run in the second half that pushed it to 67-29 with 11:26 left. Saddler scored 17 in the second half but could not bring the Blue Hens back by himself.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Tyler Thornton stepped into Curry’s starting guard spot and recorded three points, 10 assists, six rebounds and three steals. … Duke has won 98 straight games against non-conference teams at Cameron Indoor Stadium. … Delaware F Jamelle Hagins pulled down six rebounds. He had a career-high 23 boards against Lafayette on Wednesday.
