No. 3 Arizona 80, Oregon State 70: Solomon Hill made a career-high five 3-pointers and scored 16 points and Mark Lyons also tallied 16 points to lead the visiting Wildcats in Pac-12 play.

Nick Johnson contributed 14 points and Brandon Ashley had 12 for Arizona (15-1, 3-1 Pac-12), which was coming off a loss Thursday at Oregon.

Four players also scored in double figures for Oregon State (10-6, 0-3). Ahmad Starks finished with 18 points, Roberto Nelson and Joe Burton had 15 apiece and junior forward Devon Collier finished with 13 points and a career-high 15 rebounds.

The Wildcats took the lead for good two minutes into the game. Oregon State pulled within one four times in the first half but ultimately trailed 43-35 at the break. A 6-2 run to start the second half extended the lead to 12 and the Beavers never got back within single digits.

Arizona came in leading the Pac-12 in 3-point shooting at 38.5 percent and the Beavers second at 37.9. The Wildcats finished 10-for-25 from beyond the arc (40 percent) and Oregon State shot 5-for-15 (33.3). The Beavers were also No. 1 in 3-point field-goal defense (30.3).

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Wildcats are the highest-ranked opponent Oregon State coach Craig Robinson has faced since taking over prior to the 2008-09 season. … Oregon State fell to 10-74 against top five opponents. Its last win came against No. 3 Arizona in 2000. … Oregon State played its second consecutive game without leading rebounder Eric Moreland, who was suspended indefinitely for violation of teams rules. He watched the Arizona game from the bench.
