Aaron Fuller scored on a layup with 4.8 seconds remaining to lift the host Trojans to the Pac-12 victory.

Byron Wesley scored a season-high 19 points for USC (8-11, 3-3 Pac-12), Eric Wise finished with 18 points and J.T. Terrell had 11 for the Trojans.

Roberto Nelson scored 26 points to lead the Beavers (10-8, 0-5). Joe Burton and Devon Collier contributed 16 points apiece for Oregon State, which has lost six of seven.

The Trojans led 39-31 at the half as Wesley scored 12 points and Terrell had eight. Oregon State scored 13 straight points to tie the score at 48 and the game went back and forth from there.

The Trojans committed 20 turnovers and gave up 13 offensive rebounds. USC point guard Jio Fontan was credited with a career-high 10 giveaways.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Eric Moreland, the leading rebounder for Oregon State, returned after sitting out the last three games for violating team rules. He finished with three points and eight rebounds in 27 minutes off the bench. … Oregon State coach Craig Robinson was scheduled to fly to Washington D.C. after the game to attend the inauguration of his brother-in-law, President Barack Obama. … USC made a switch with 7-2 center Omar Oraby starting at center in place of 7-foot Dewayne Dedmon, who started the second half.
