California 76, UCLA 63: David Kravish had a career-high 18 points and 13 rebounds and Richard Solomon added 17 points as the Bears dominated the visiting Bruins.

Allen Crabbe scored 16 points and Justin Cobbs had 12 for California (15-9, 7-5 Pac-12), which used a 19-2 run to lead 35-13 with 5:40 left in the first half and led by as many as 28 just before halftime.

UCLA (18-7, 8-4) opened the second half on a 12-4 run, but the Bruins weren’t able to recover after shooting 30.3 percent in the first half. Jordan Adams led UCLA with 15 points and Shabazz Muhammad added 13 points and 11 rebounds.

Crabbe, who had 31 points in the Bears’ 77-69 win at Arizona on Sunday, took over the first half with 15 points. The reigning Pac-12 Player of the Week brought the crowd to its feet with a thundering dunk to put the Bears ahead 41-19 with 3:45 left in the first half.

UCLA, which defeated the Bears by 14 points on Jan. 3, was outrebounded 41-33 and outscored 46-20 in the paint. California shot 50 percent from the floor after shooting a season-best 58.8 percent in its win over Arizona.

GAME NOTEBOOK: California G Brandon Smith was helped from the floor with six minutes remaining with an apparent left knee injury. … California’s 25-point halftime lead was its biggest this season. …The Bears have won four of their last five games, while UCLA has lost three of its last five.
