Texas Tech 72, Texas Christian 63: Jordan Tolbert had a season-high 22 points as the host Red Raiders snapped a nine-game losing streak.

Dejan Kravic had 16 points and a team-high 11 rebounds, the first double-double of the junior forward’s career, and Josh Gray chipped in 11 points to help Texas Tech (10-17, 3-13 Big 12). The Red Raiders, who beat Texas Christian 62-53 on Jan. 5 in Fort Worth, swept the Horned Frogs for the first time since 2010 and improved to 9-10 at home.

Kyan Anderson scored 18 points and Devonta Abron added 16 off the bench to lead Texas Christian (10-19, 1-15), which lost its seventh straight. Adrick McKinney grabbed a team-high seven rebounds for the Horned Frogs, who fell to 1-9 on the road.

Texas Tech shot 68.2 percent from the field in the first half to Texas Christian’s 41.7 percent, and the Red Raiders scored 18 points in the paint to Texas Christian’s eight for a 34-28 halftime lead. The Horned Frogs, who trailed by as many as 14 points in the second half, cut it to 57-54 on Charles Hill’s free throw with 4:46 remaining but the Red Raiders held on.

Texas Tech shot 62.2 percent from the field overall to Texas Christian’s 39.2 percent shooting. The Red Raiders improved to 74-47 in the series, including 41-14 in Lubbock.
