Oregon State 101, SIU-Edwardsville 81: Devon Collier paced five Beavers in double figures with 20 points and Oregon State built a big early lead and cruised over the visiting Cougars.

Angus Brandt added 19 points and Roberto Nelson finished with 17 points and seven assists for the Beavers (3-1), who have won three straight after opening the season with a home loss to Coppin State. Victor Robbins added a dozen points for Oregon State, which shot 64 percent from the field and sank 33-of-38 shots from the line.

Maurice Wiltz led SIU-Edwardsville (1-6) with 16 points. The Cougars, who lost their fourth straight game, also got 13 points from Donivine Stewart while Christian Salecich finished with 10 points and nine assists.

Oregon State never trailed and raced out to a 22-9 lead capped by a thunderous dunk by Collier, who entered the game on the heels of consecutive double-doubles. The Beavers led 52-29 at the half as Collier had 13 points and three jams by the break.

The Beavers took their largest lead at 67-39 when Nelson was fouled on a 3-pointer and hit all three free throws. The Cougars managed to trim the deficit to 82-66 on a 3-pointer by Salecich with 6:11 to play but they got no closer despite outscoring the Beavers 52-49 in the second half.
