Jarrod Uthoff scored 16 points to lead a balanced Hawkeyes attack in
an easy home rout of the Golden Lions.
Josh Oglesby scored 13 points in
his season debut, while Adam Woodbury added 10 points for Iowa
(11-2), which shot 61.7 percent, including 10-of-17 from the 3-point
line. Iowa's offense was clicking all day long, with 13 different
players scoring in the contest.
Tevin Hammond led the way for
Arkansas-Pine Bluff (2-9) with a game-high 19 points, while DaVon
Haynes and Marcel Mosley each contributed 11 points. The Golden
Lions were outrebounded 42-27
The game wasn't close from the
start, with the Hawkeyes scoring the first nine points of the game,
then building up a 39-5 lead with just over five minutes to play in
the first half. The advantage was built as big as 41 points before
the Golden Lions scored the last four of the half to pull within
52-15 at the break.
Little changed in the
second half, with the Hawkeyes pushing the lead to as much as 43
midway through the stanza. The Golden Lions made a late push to make
the score a little more respectable, denying Iowa its seventh win
this season by 30 or more points.

The Hawkeyes could have been better, missing nine of 27 free-throw
attempts and turning the ball over 27 times. … Iowa improved to
