Cincinnati 69, No. 18 Memphis 53: Sean Kilpatrick broke out of a shooting slump, finishing with 18 points as the visiting Bearcats pulled away late to end the Tigers' 19-game home winning streak.

Kilpatrick, who came in shooting 5-for-25 from the field over his previous two games, went 5-for-11 Saturday while knocking down 7-of-9 free throws to lead Cincinnati (13-2, 2-0 AAC). Justin Jackson had 13 points, eight rebounds and seven blocks while Shaquille Thomas added 10 points and three steals.

Joe Jackson's 13 points paced the Tigers (10-3, 1-1), who shot 33.3 percent from the field while hitting 2-of-17 attempts from 3-point range. Michael Dixon Jr. (12) was the only other Memphis player to reach double figures.

Neither team led by more than seven points in a back-and-forth opening half. A Joe Jackson jumper gave Memphis a 26-21 lead with 2:43 remaining, but a Kevin Johnson putback capped a quarter-closing 6-0 run that surged the Bearcats in front by a point heading into the break.

The teams remained close until just before the midway point of the second half, when Thomas' contact layup an ensuing foul shot and Troy Caupain's 3-pointer on a Jermaine Sanders feed put Cincinnati ahead 48-40. Justin Jackson knocked down back-to-back shots to stretch the lead to double digits, and Memphis didn't challenge the rest of the way.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kilpatrick is 30-for-33 from the free-throw line over the previous three games. ... The Tigers came into the game averaging 82.8 points, the 22nd-best rate in the nation. ... Memphis faces No. 17 Louisville on Thursday, while Cincinnati tangles with Houston on Tuesday.
