No. 17 Memphis 101, LeMoyne-Owen 78: Nick King scored a career-high 18 points off the bench and Geron Johnson put up 12 points, nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals as the Tigers cruised to the home victory.

Austin Nichols had 12 points on 6-of-6 shooting while Kuran Iverson (11) and Shaq Goodwin (10) also scored in double figures for Memphis (13-4), which returns to American Athletic Conference play Thursday versus Houston. The Tigers shot 58.5 percent en route to their highest scoring output of the season.

LeMoyne-Owen, a Memphis-based Division II program, was led by Demba Konate's 17 points. Daequan Mitchell-Fields added 16 points for the Magicians (4-10), who made just 11-of-21 foul shots and 5-of-20 attempts from behind the arc.

The Magicians hung tough for the first seven minutes, trailing 15-14 before the Tigers scored 11 of the next 13 points, including five points by King and four by Iverson. Johnson's 3-pointer in the final seconds of the half completed a 60 percent shooting performance in the opening 20 minutes for Memphis, which led 52-33 at the break.

King, a freshman swingman who had scored a total of 13 points in his previous nine games, scored 13 points in the first half. Crawford opened the second half with a pair of 3-pointers in the first two minutes, and the Tigers never looked back.
