LSU 87, Auburn 80: Johnny O'Bryant III scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the host Tigers held off a late rally to record their fifth consecutive home win.

Andre Stringer added 18 points and a game-high seven assists in a reserve role for LSU (15-7, 6-4 SEC), which won the battle of the boards 46-35. Anthony Hickey chipped in with 17 points, including five 3-pointers, while Jordan Mickey contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds to notch his seventh double-double of the season.

Chris Denson recorded 29 points, six rebounds and three steals for Auburn (11-10, 3-7), which finished 6-of-23 from 3-point range. KT Harrell scored 19 points while Tahj Shamsid-Deen netted 16 for the Tigers, who fell to 64-83 all-time against LSU.

Denson scored six early points as Auburn sped out to an 11-3 lead before Jarell Martin keyed a 15-4 run to put LSU on top by three with about eight minutes left in the first half. Denson led all scorers with 19 points in the opening 20 minutes as Auburn took a 33-32 edge into the break.

O'Bryant sparked a 10-0 spurt to help LSU open up a 45-38 advantage before Stringer knocked down a 3-pointer to stretch the lead to 11 with 10 minutes remaining in the game. O'Bryant scored seven straight points to help LSU pull away 74-60 and the Tigers held on to improve to 10-2 at home this season.
