Stanley Johnson scored scored 14 of his 19 points in the second half as the visiting Wildcats beat the Cardinal for the 10th consecutive time.

Brandon Ashley also had a big second half with 11 of his 17 points while Gabe York scored 13 off the bench as Arizona (17-2, 5-1 Pac-12) moved into a tie with Utah for first place in the conference. Rondae Hollis-Jefferson and T.J. McConnell added 12 and 10 points, respectively, as the Wildcats shot 55.6 percent in handing the Cardinal (13-5, 4-2) their first home less in 10 games.

Chasson Randle scored a game-high 26 points for Stanford, which shot 50 percent from the floor but missed 15 of its last 25 shots. Anthony Brown overcame foul trouble to contribute 18 points and nine rebounds while center Stefan Nastic scored 10 points.

Trailing by five points early in the second half, Arizona rallied when Ashley converted a three-point play before knocking down a 3-pointer to spark a 29-10 run to give the Wildcats their biggest lead at 76-62 with 3:28 to play. Brown knocked down a pair from behind the arc and Robert Cartwright nailed a 3-pointer to cut the deficit to 84-78 with 42.4 seconds to play but the Cardinal could get no closer.

York buried a pair of 3-pointers to spark a 14-6 spurt as Arizona surged ahead 26-17 with just under 9 1/2 minutes left in the first half. Randle scored nine points to draw Stanford even with 4 1/2 minutes to play and connected on a 3-pointer with 1:00 left in the half to send the Cardinal to the locker room with a 41-39 edge.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Randle joined Todd Lichti and Adam Keefe as the only players in school history to score 2,000 career points. ... Wildcats coach Sean Miller was slapped with a technical foul after reserve F Dusan Ristic picked up his third foul with 5:50 left in the first half. Four Arizona starters had at least two fouls in the half. ... Brown, averaging 18.5 points over the previous eight games, picked up three fouls in a 31-second span of the first half and went to the bench with five points.
