Daniel Ochefu went 5-for-5 from the field and JayVaughn Pinkston was 4-for-4 as the Villanova forwards finished with 11 and 10 points, respectively. Ochefu also grabbed a game-high 12 rebounds to go with four assists, two steals and a block as the Wildcats (24-2, 11-2 Big East) pushed their winning streak to seven games and avenged a loss to the Pirates from last month.

Hilliard finished 4-of-8 from behind the arc, while Dylan Ennis (12 points) and Ryan Arcidiacono (10) each knocked down a pair of 3-pointers. Isaiah Whitehead paced the Pirates (15-11, 5-9) with 15 points, but also had five turnovers as Seton Hall lost for the ninth time in 12 games since its overtime win over Villanova.

Hilliard led all scorers with 13 first-half points as the Wildcats jumped out to a 7-0 lead en route to a 36-20 lead at the break. Phil Booth, who had eight points off the bench, made a jumper before Hilliard recorded a four-point play to spark a 16-2 run that turned a one-point lead into a commanding 30-15 advantage.

Hilliard capped the first-half scoring with a 3-pointer and opened up the scoring in the second stanza with a layup before the Pirates finally got within 10 points at 46-36 with less than 14 minutes left. The lead sat at 52-40 when Villanova went on a 14-1 run to open up a 25-point cushion on Booth's 3-pointer with less than 7 1/2 minutes to go.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Hilliard, who shot 6-of-16 from the floor, was coming off a career-high 31-point performance Saturday against Butler, including the game-winning 3-pointer with 1.5 seconds left. ... Josh Hart had four points, 10 rebounds, four assists and two blocks off the Villanova bench. ... Sterling Gibbs contributed 12 points for Seton Hall but struggled to 4-of-15 shooting; he was given a Flagrant-2 and ejected with 4:38 remaining when he punched Arcidiacono in the face during a scrum for the ball.
