Guard Bronson Koenig scored 16 points to pace Wisconsin to a 85-67 win against Prairie View A&M on Wednesday at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis.

Six players scored in double figures for Wisconsin (4-2), including guard Zak Showalter, who added a career-high 14 points.

Showalter, a junior, drained a fadeaway jumper at the first-half buzzer to push the Badgers to a 42-36 lead.

Wisconsin received 12 points from first-year starting forward Ethan Happ, who contributed a game-high eight rebounds.

The Badgers got sparks from reserve freshman forwards Charlie Thomas and Khalil Iverson, who combined for 21 points. Iverson had seven points and had two steals in the first half, substituting for Vitto Brown, who sat with two early fouls.

Junior guard Tevin Bellinger scored a game-high 21 points for the Panthers (0-5). He shot 3-for-5 from 3-point range.

Prairie View A&M, which entered the game with a 22.6 percent shooting rate from 3-point range, shot a scorching 78.2 percent (seven of nine) from beyond the arc in the first.

Sophomore forward Zachary Hamilton scored 12 points off the bench for the Panthers, who faded in the second half and committed 19 turnovers overall.

The Panthers, members of the Southwestern Athletic Conference, play nine consecutive road games before their home opener on Dec. 11 against Texas Christian University.
