Creighton scored the game's first 13 points and raced past Maryland Eastern Shore 87-36 on Friday at CenturyLink Center in Omaha, Neb.

Marcus Foster put the Bluejays up with a 3-pointer off the opening tip and Creighton (8-2) was off and running. Foster followed layups by Davion Mintz and Martin Krampelj with a free throw and another 3-point jumper to give Creighton a 13-0 lead.

Logan McIntosh finally got the Hawks (3-9) on the scoreboard with pair of free throws and a jumper.

Eastern Shore would cut the deficit to eight on a jumper by Thomas at the 12:03 mark but that's the closest the Hawks would get the rest of the night.

Foster led the Bluejays with 15 points. Khyri Thomas and Ty-Shon Alexander scored 12 and Krampelj tossed in 11 points.

McIntosh scored 13 points and Cameron Bacote added 12 points for the Hawks.

Foster's 3 at the eight-minute mark pushed the lead to 14 at 26-12 and the game got out of hand quickly for the Hawks as the Bluejays took a 45-17 lead into intermission.

The Hawks made only 5 of 22 of their field-goal attempts in the first half and three of those were from beyond the arc.

The Bluejays dominated in all facets -- from the floor, from long range and in the paint where they outscored the Hawks 22-4 and outrebounded them 19-13 in the first half.

The most telling stat was Creighton's 20 points off nine turnovers. The Bluejays committed only three turnovers, but Eastern Shore could not convert any into points.

Creighton closed out the first half on 10-0 run, holding the Hawks scoreless in the final 3:04 of the half.

The second half was a repeat of the first with the Bluejays outscoring the Hawks 42-19.

Creighton won for the third straight time since losing to No. 15 Gonzaga. The loss was the fourth straight for Eastern Shore.
