Tyler Bey had 27 points and 13 rebounds, Shane Gatling scored 26, and the Colorado Buffaloes beat the UCLA Bruins 93-68 in Boulder, Colo., on Thursday night.

D'Shawn Schwartz had 15 points for the Buffaloes (18-11, 9-8 Pac-12), who led the entire game and pulled away late to make it a rout. Colorado moved into a tie for fourth in the conference and has a chance to earn a first-round bye in the conference tournament with a win over USC on Saturday.

Kris Wilkes scored 19 and Jaylen Hands had 16 for the Bruins (16-14, 9-8). UCLA had its three-game winning streak snapped and was swept by the Buffaloes for the second straight season.

Colorado led by 10 at halftime despite shooting just 40 percent from the field. The Buffaloes heated up in the second half, shooting 59 percent and finished the game hitting 49.3 percent overall.

Colorado came out strong to start the second half and quickly increased its lead. Schwartz and Bey had dunks, and Schwartz later hit a 3-pointer to give the Buffaloes a 48-33 lead with 15:31 left.

The Bruins, who had rallied from big deficits earlier in the season, got back within 11 on two free throws from Moses Brown with 11:28 left but Bey answered with a three-point play and a dunk to give the Buffaloes a 61-45 lead, its biggest of the game at that point.

Hands converted a three-point play to get UCLA within 71-59 and had a chance to get closer but he missed a 3-pointer from the top of the arc. The Buffaloes put it away on Gatling's corner 3-pointer and Bey's dunk that got the lead back to 17 with 3:53 left.

Colorado scored the first seven points of the game and led 15-5 less than five minutes in. The Bruins got within 24-20 before the Buffaloes stretched the lead to nine. UCLA cut the deficit to 32-27 but Colorado scored the last five points to lead 37-27 at the break.
