Five Notre Dame players scored in double figures and the Fighting Irish never trailed during a 92-57 victory over visiting Robert Morris on Saturday afternoon.

Notre Dame (1-1), which moved to 20-0 in home openers during the Mike Brey era, was paced by sophomore guard Dane Goodwin's 18 points in 18 minutes off the bench as the Irish shot 57.4 percent from the field and 88 percent at the line.

Fifth-year senior guard Josh Williams paced Robert Morris (0-2) with 21 points and 5 rebounds, which included 6-of-16 shooting from 3-point range. The Colonials needed a late scoring rush to get to 33.9 percent shooting from the field.

Senior guard T.J. Gibbs contributed 15 points and five assists for Notre Dame while senior power forward John Mooney, a preseason first-team all-ACC selection, posted his 22nd career double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds in just 23 minutes.

Redshirt freshman guard Robby Carmody, who missed most of last season after needing surgery on his left shoulder Dec. 27, posted a career-high 13 points.

Notre Dame forged its first double-figure lead, 21-11, on senior forward Juwan Durham's pair of free throws with 9:11 left in the first half. The Irish pushed their lead to 39-20 at the break as they closed with a 7-0 run. Sophomore guard Prentiss Hubb made a layup and a 3-pointer, then nabbed a steal that turned into a Mooney layup.

Notre Dame reeled off a 16-3 run during the first four minutes of the second half to remove any lingering suspense. Durham triggered the spree with a dunk as each of the Irish's five starters contributed a basket to push the margin to 55-23 at the 16:04 mark.

The game at Notre Dame's Purcell Pavilion was part of the Men Against Breast Cancer Invitational, which will be played in arenas across the country over the next two weeks.
