Markus Howard scored 26 points and Sacar Anim added 18 as Marquette remained undefeated at home with a 93-72 nonconference victory Tuesday over Grambling State in Milwaukee, Wis.

Howard went 6 of 10 from 3-point range as the Golden Eagles (8-2) improved to 5-0 at home while recording their third consecutive victory after a defeat to then-No. 5 Maryland in Orlando, Fla., on Dec. 1.

Kelton Edwards scored 22 points and Ivy Smith Jr. added 14 for the Tigers (6-6), who entered off two consecutive victories. Grambling State fell to 0-6 all-time against Marquette in the first meeting between the schools since 2015.

Koby McEwen scored 10 points with seven assists for Marquette, while Jamal Cain had 11 points. Howard reached the 25-point plateau for the fourth time this season and the first time since scoring 51 points in a victory over Southern California on Nov. 29.

The game was tied 23-23 with 6:30 remaining in the first half before Marquette went on a 19-4 run to take a 42-27 lead into the break.

Howard has shot at least 50 percent from 3-point range in four of his last five games, with the only blemish in that run his 0 of 6 performance in the loss to Maryland. Even with that 0 of 6 performance he is 23 of 49 from 3-point range (46.9 percent) going back to a victory over Davidson on Nov. 28.

The Golden Eagles shot 51.8 percent from the field and 48.5 percent on 3-pointers, with Anim going 5 of 7 from distance. They had 27 assists to 11 for the Tigers. Anim has now reached double figures in scoring in four consecutive games for just the second time in his career.

Grambling shot 41.9 percent from the field and 36.8 percent on 3-pointers. Marquette entered holding opponents to just 37.6 percent from the field and 28.4 percent from long range.

The Tigers did hold their own on the boards with a 35-33 advantage. Terreon Randolph had nine rebounds for Grambling.
