David Buehler’s career-high fourth field goal, a 39-yarder with 55 seconds left, lifted the host Dallas Cowboys to a 33-30 victory over the Donovan McNabb-less Washington Redskins on Sunday

The Cowboys (5-9) held a comfortable 30-14 lead with 4:31 left in the third quarter after Buehler’s third field goal before Rex Grossman, starting in place of the benched McNabb, heated up.

Grossman led Washington (5-9) on consecutive scoring drives covering 134 yards on 22 plays over 9:45 and converted a pair of 2-point conversions to tie the game at 30-30 with 7:44 left. He capped both drives with 5-yard scoring passes to Santana Moss and Chris Cooley.

Dallas cornerback Terence Newman picked off Grossman on Washington's last possession.

Jon Kitna completed 25 of 37 passes for 305 yards with two touchdowns and no interceptions for Dallas, which improved to 4-2 under interim head coach Jason Garrett and 2-6 at home this season.

Grossman was 25 of 43 passes for 322 yards with four touchdowns and two interceptions. His interception and fumble deep in Washington territory led to two first-half TDs by the Cowboys.
