AVALANCHE 3, DUCKS 2 (OT): Rookie Gabriel Landeskog scored at 1:52 of overtime as Colorado continued its push for the playoffs by edging Anaheim.

Jamie McGinn and Kevin Porter also tallied while Semyon Varlamov made 38 saves for the Avalanche, who moved two points ahead of idle Calgary and Los Angeles for the eighth and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.

Colorado defenseman Matt Hunwick stopped a clearing attempt at the blue line and got the puck to Landeskog, who blasted it past Jonas Hiller from the inner edge of the left faceoff circle for his 19th goal.

The tally all but ended Anaheim's postseason hopes as it trails the Avalanche by nine points with 12 games remaining.

Colorado opened the scoring midway through the first period when Jamie McGinn settled down a bouncing puck and fired it past Hiller from the top of the right faceoff circle. It was McGinn's 17th goal of the season and fifth in as many games.

The Ducks evened things with two seconds remaining in the second session. Bobby Ryan's attempted tip of a shot from the right circle went wide, but defenseman Francois Beauchemin pinched from the point to deposit the loose puck into the net from the top left corner of the crease.

Porter gave the Avalanche a 2-1 edge with 6:47 remaining in the third as he tipped defenseman Jan Hejda's one-timer from the left point past Hiller.

Anaheim received its first power-play opportunity when former Ducks defenseman Shane O'Brien was called for interference with just over four minutes left, and Teemu Selanne took a pass from Matt Beleskey and buried it from the right circle to forge a tie.

The goal was Selanne's 1,399th career point, snapping a tie for 19th on the all-time list with fellow Finn Jari Kurri.

Ryan notched two assists and Hiller stopped 30 shots for the Ducks, who scored a total of three goals during their winless three-game road trip (0-3-0). Anaheim has netted two tallies or fewer in each of its last 11 road contests.
