Blues 5, Wild 4 (OT): Vladimir Sobotka scored 2:16 into overtime as host St. Louis overcame a two-goal deficit to record its third straight victory.
Veteran defenseman Wade Redden and Chris Stewart scored for the second straight night while Patrik Berglund and blue-liner Barret Jackman also tallied. Brian Elliott turned aside 12 shots for the Blues, who have outscored the Wild 31-19 while going 7-0-3 in their last 10 meetings at Scottrade Center.
Zach Parise scored a pair of power-play goals and captain Mikko Koivu collected a tally and an assist for the Wild, who have dropped three in a row (0-2-1).
In overtime, Andy McDonald patiently skated beyond the goal line before finding Sobotka, who staved off defenseman Ryan Suter in front and chipped the puck past Niklas Backstrom (29 saves).
Minnesota seized a 3-1 lead before the Blues scored three straight goals - capped by Jackman's blast from the point with 6:13 left in the third period. Dany Heatley tied the contest as he knocked a loose puck out of mid-air and into the net with 4:08 remaining.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The Blues honored the memory of Hall of Famer Stan "The Man" Musial by wearing No. 6 jerseys during pregame warmups. Musial, who played 22 seasons with the St. Louis Cardinals, died on Jan. 19. He was 92. ... D Mathew Dumba, who was the seventh overall pick of the 2012 draft, will return to the Western Hockey League's Red Deer Rebels. Dumba has yet to play a game for the Wild this season. ... Minnesota D Jared Spurgeon was placed on injured reserve with a foot injury. The team recalled Marco Scandella from Houston of the American Hockey League.
