Penguins 2, Flyers 1 (OT): Tyler Kennedy scored 2:33 into overtime as Pittsburgh skated to its 12th consecutive victory overall and ninth straight at Consol Energy Center.

Captain Sidney Crosby's 5-on-3 power play goal forged a tie with 6:14 remaining in the third period and Marc-Andre Fleury turned aside 27 shots for the Penguins, who claimed sole possession of the league's longest win streak in 2013. Chicago won 11 straight from Feb. 15-March 6.

Captain Claude Giroux scored a power-play goal and Ilya Bryzgalov finished with 33 saves for the Flyers, who have dropped five straight on the road (0-4-1) and 13 of 17 (4-12-1).

In overtime, Kennedy regained possession of the puck after his first shot from the left faceoff circle was denied. After a brief exchange with defenseman Matt Niskanen, Kennedy tried again and fired a shot under the crossbar for his fifth goal.

After Wayne Simmonds and defenseman Kimmo Timonen were whistled for slashing and hooking penalties respectively, Crosby tied the contest with a one-timer from the right faceoff circle. Giroux had given the Flyers a 1-0 lead after alertly one-timing the rebound of his attempted pass past Fleury to extend his streak to 10 games with a point against the Penguins.
