Ducks 2, Oilers 1: Radek Dvorak snapped a tie at 7:48 of the third period with his second goal of the game as host Anaheim increased its lead atop the Pacific Division.
Saku Koivu recorded two assists and Jonas Hiller made 27 saves for the Ducks, who moved 11 points ahead of Los Angeles in the Pacific. Anaheim also pulled within three of Chicago in the race for the Presidents' Trophy.
Defenseman Nick Schultz scored and Devan Dubnyk stopped 36 shots for Edmonton, which suffered its third straight loss and remained four points behind eighth-place Detroit in the Western Conference.
Dvorak opened the scoring with 2:39 remaining in the first period. Dubnyk stopped blue-liner Ben Lovejoy's one-timer from above the right faceoff circle, but Dvorak grabbed the rebound and buried a backhander for his second goal in five games this season.
Schultz forged a tie 72 seconds into the third as his shot from along the left-wing boards got past Hiller. Dvorak answered less than seven minutes later, firing home another rebound in the slot after Dubnyk made the save on a tip by Koivu.
GAME NOTEBOOK: The multi-goal performance was the 20th of Dvorak's career and first since he scored twice against Calgary on Oct. 14, 2010 while with the Florida Panthers. ... The Oilers have been outscored 10-2 during their losing streak. ... Ducks captain Ryan Getzlaf missed his third consecutive game with a leg injury.
