Bishop stopped all 12 shots he faced in the first period and defenseman Matt Carle’s screen shot from the high slot on the power play at 6:28 gave the Lightning a 1-0 lead. Nate Thompson doubled the advantage 1:24 into the second, sweeping in a feed from B.J. Crombeen during a short-handed 2-on-1 rush.
Bryan Bickell knocked home a rebound nine minutes into the second and Marian Hossa deflected Patrick Sharp’s shot past Bishop 1:36 later to tie the game at 2-2. Stamkos beat Khabibulin to the stick side at 17:21 of the period, but Kane forged a tie on the breakaway 1:32 later.
