Lightning 4, Flyers 2: Defenseman Victor Hedman collected two goals and an assist as Tampa Bay held off a late rally by Philadelphia to earn its seventh straight home victory.

Tyler Johnson recorded a goal and an assist while Ondrej Palat added a short-handed tally for the Lightning. Anders Lindback, making his sixth start this season, turned aside 19 shots for his second victory.

Vincent Lecavalier, who spent the first 14 years of his career with the Lightning, scored on the power play with 1:53 remaining in the third period of his first game back in Tampa Bay. Defenseman Mark Streit tallied 40 seconds later and Ray Emery made 31 saves for Philadelphia, which has dropped two straight following a seven-game point streak (6-0-1).

The Lightning had a 14-7 edge in shots, but Lindback had to make a right pad save on Wayne Simmonds’ penalty-shot attempt at 16:46 to keep it scoreless after one period. Hedman changed that 9:15 into the middle session, hammering a shot from below the left faceoff circle past Emery.

Palat doubled the lead 3:01 later, knocking home the rebound of Hedman’s shot for his first goal in 15 games on a 2-on-1 rush. Hedman extended the lead five minutes into the third period, when he buried a rebound in front during a 5-on-3 power play for his career-high sixth goal.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Flyers RW Matt Read, who shares the team lead with eight goals, missed his first game of the season due to a lower-body injury. … The Lightning dressed seven defensemen, with Keith Aulie returning to the lineup after missing the previous seven games with an upper-body injury. … Lecavalier was honored as the Community Hero by the Lightning for his charity work in the Tampa Bay area over the years with the Vincent Lecavalier Foundation.
