Sabres 2, Devils 1: Matt D'Agostini scored a power-play goal to snap a tie with 8:11 remaining in the third period as Buffalo won its fifth consecutive home game.

Matt Moulson also tallied with the man advantage and Ryan Miller finished with 21 saves for the Sabres, who avenged a 1-0 loss to New Jersey on Nov. 30.

Michael Ryder scored a 5-on-3 power-play goal to match Jaromir Jagr with his team-leading 13th tally. Cory Schneider turned aside 20 shots for the Devils, who have dropped two in a row and four of their last six games (2-3-1).

With Dainius Zubrus serving an interference penalty, Buffalo seized a 2-1 lead as captain Steve Ott attempted to skate out from along the goal line but his shot was denied by Schneider. D'Agostini spotted the loose puck and shoveled it into the net for his first goal.

Moulson cleaned up a loose puck following Tyler Ennis' wraparound bid to open the scoring with 31 seconds remaining in the second period. The tally was Moulson's 14th of the season - with seven of his eight as a Sabre coming on home ice. After having an apparent goal whistled dead due to an injury, Ryder forged a 1-1 tie at 7:46 of the third as his shot from the left circle squirted inside the near post.
